Welcome!
Storytelling is my passion - especially stories you haven't heard before. As a director, I'm always searching for unique perspectives and hidden narratives behind well-known facts. Whether in "Colonia Dignidad - Inside a German Sect", "Half the World Belongs to Us - How Women Fought for the Right to Vote" or "The American Führer" - I'm fascinated by people and their experiences, which often prove more dramatic than any fiction.
When I'm not diving into archives hunting for compelling footage, you'll find me either hiking in the mountains or cheering at soccer matches. My work has been recognized with the German Television Academy Award and the Robert Geisendörfer Prize, and I've been honored with nominations for the Japan Prize and the prestigious Grimme Award.
I split my time between Munich and Los Angeles - two cities that couldn't be more different, but that's exactly why they enrich my perspective as a filmmaker.
Thank you for stopping by! Let's dive into the world of stories together.
Yours, Annette
